KN95 Masks, PPE for COVID-19 Fight
This has been a difficult time for all of us. Not just in the U.S., but across the globe. We wanted to ensure our customers have access to the protective gear and equipment they need to keep their business strong, from a source they trust.
With that, on April 3, 2020, the FDA approved the KN95 personal face mask, also known as respirator masks, as an alternative to the standard U.S. N95 masks.
Logotech has these masks and other personal protective equipment from a highly-rated supplier. They are now available for our U.S. customers.
Please keep in mind: face masks are not 100% effective to prevent viral spread. Our mask are designed for single, one-day use. You still need to keep practicing social distancing. You still need to wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer after touching common surfaces. Stop touching your face. Don't go to gatherings of more than 10 people and if you must: stand six feet apart and wear a mask, too.
All of these things together will help increase your protection. But still -- be smart and be safe.
Why KN95 Masks Matter
That said, why is access to KN95 masks a big deal? So hospitals and health workers can continue having access to N95 masks while providing similar protection to other essential workers.
The two products are very much alike. KN95 is a Chinese standard for masks analogous to the gold-standard, N95 mask. Both are manufactured in China. Both are rated to keep out 95% of airborne contaminants.
In fact, our KN95 masks are made overseas in FDA-approved facilities. Logotech and its employees are happy we may help our customers find products to protect their employees and customers from contracting the disease.
Beyond face masks, Logotech sought more suppliers for personal protection equipment for our customers, too.
Just before the Illinois governor announced our stay-at-home order, we had been sourcing bulk hand sanitizer. We watched as stocks quickly dwindled. We soon found an additional supplier to get quality sanitizer into client hands. Working from home, we are also taking sanitizer orders and preorders while manufacturers are rebuilding their stocks.
We suggest using the gowns and coveralls for instances where you are around someone who may be ill, like family members. Check employee temperatures non-intrusively with infrared thermometers while protecting the entire office.
